The Draw-Go deck archetype is filled with instant-speed interaction, like permanents with flash (The Wandering Emperor, Hullbreaker Horror), removal spells, counterspells, and card draw (Consider, Memory Deluge)
Since Ward Permanents increase how much mana an opponent must pay to target it, your foe may not want to expend so many resources
Time will tell if it can be an actual competitor or go the way of most mill strategies and become a casual pet deck
Obviously, this isnt worth much if your creature is small, but on something like Okaun, Eye of Chaos or Primeval Spawn, youre going to be cooking with a large payoff and little downside
