This 3 inch reel, the "Lennox" model, is a super tight, very fishable reel and appears in the "D is for Dingley" book on page 98. It has the not often seen caliper check and no ball bearings (a "eunuch" model). It comes with a strap over tensioner (another feature hard to find on Dingley reels). which works perfectly, gradually increasing the spring tension throughout its
